The purpose of the Fairbanks Association of Legal Assistants Student Scholarship is to provide scholarships for students currently enrolled in the paralegal studies program offered through the University of Alaska Fairbanks Tanana Valley Campus. The scholarship amount will be $250. The deadline for applications is October 29. The successful recipient will be notified by November 15 each year. The purpose of the Fairbanks Association of Legal Assistants Professional Scholarship is to provide scholarships for practicing paralegals intending to sit for the Certified Legal Assistant/Certified Paralegal (CLA/CP) exam or achieve an Advanced Paralegal Certification (APC).

The CLA/CP exam is offered three times each year in March, July and December. The APC is a web based, self-study program for individuals who have already earned the CLA/CP designation. The scholarship amount will be $250 per year. Funds will be awarded after successful completion of either the CLA/CP or the APC. See Professional Scholarship Details
